Hawkinge traffic scheme is a good thing

Have your say!

Dear Editor,

Re: Opposition to new road layout

Many villagers have complained about drivers exceeding the speed limit through the village.

Looking at the consultation document the main reason put forward for the changed priority at Aerodrome Road is to slow down traffic from Folkestone and Dover.

This in addition to redirecting traffic from Canterbury to the new Spitfire Way link should result in less traffic passing through the village.

The main aims of the scheme are to both reduce and slow down traffic passing throught the village, which seems to me to be a good thing.
