A primary school caretaker has been found guilty at Oxford Crown Court of carrying out a letter bomb campaign in which eight people, including a Shepway man were injured.

Miles Cooper, 27, from Cambridge, sent seven letter bombs to addresses in England and Wales earlier this year, five of which exploded.

Cooper, was convicted on all 12 counts, and was sentenced today (Friday 28 September) to at least five years in prison for sending a spate of letter bombs that hurt eight people in England.

Michael Wingfield from Folkestone suffered minor injuries to his face and stomach when a letter bomb exploded after he opened a small jiffy bag at his home on 3 February, this year.
