Mrs Whiting in the fish department and soft fruit farmer Josh Berry......

After one of our readers contacted the Mayfly pub, to complain about the new sign which shows a World War 2 aircraft, the brewers Marstons  have decided to change the sign "so that it is more accurate."

The plans for the new residential home have been changed and will dispense with the pharmacy, so to speak. The surgery to be built next door has apparently already included one in its design.

I have just received an email from district councillor David Godfrey which my email client has abbreviated to David R God. I suppose it was lucky not to be shortened further to Dr God perhaps. Now that would be a councillor having to live up to his name.

On the subject of names, I always like to see  names relevant to occupation and was pleased to add the following trio to my list.

There is Lin Martini, landlady of a Folkestone pub, pets superstore fish department worker, Mrs. Whiting and Kent soft fruit farmer Josh Berry.
