The market garden at The Churchill School in Haven Drive will soon be boasting its own poly tunnel to increase the quantity and varieties of vegetables and flowers the pupils will be able to grow.

With the help of Tony and Ann Hutt, Wendy Bell and Peter Brun, the quartet of green fingered gardeners whose idea it was, are ready to help the children start their budding business.

The school's business manager Colin Simpson said it is hoped the poly tunnel will be officially opened around the end of  September.

Produce grown by the youngsters will be sold to the community to raise funds for the school.
