The opening of not just any foodstore but a new M&S foodstore will mark the return of Marks and Spencer to the Folkestone area after the closure of their Sandgate Road store last year.

The BP Service Station on Cheriton High Street, Folkestone will re-open on 23 August as a combined BP and M&S Simply Food outlet.

BP and M&S plan to roll out combined petrol stations and M&S Simply Food outlets to over 200 sites nationally, with the Cheriton store amongst the first.

Customers will be able to buy selected items from the Marks & Spencer range including sandwiches, ready meals, fresh produce, wine, flowers and basic groceries.
