Local police are appealing for help following a spate of criminal damage in the village over the weekend.

Overnight Saturday and Sunday in The Meade, a high grade slatted wooden fencing suffered damage from a blunt instrument and graffiti.

Just after 1am on Sunday morning a resident in Millfield was disturbed and found a white man on scaffolding of a property having just smashed four windows. He is described as aged between 20 and 25, 6 feet tall with mousey short hair and wearing light jeans and a white short sleeved shirt. Taps had also been turned on in the building which then became flooded.

Between 1am and 2am on Sunday morning, a vehicle parked in Kettle Drive was damaged.

If you have any information that would assist police with these crimes please contact PC Moody on 07980 770583 or the Community Warden, Tanya Clark on 07811 271303.
