These boots are made for walking

Out & About

Chances are you've got a pair of walking boots gathering dust in the back of a cupboard which you bought when you visited the Lake District or Derbyshire Dales on a distant holiday, and you haven't worn them since.

Well, why not dig them out, dust them down and see what the local scenery has to offer.

White Cliffs Countryside Project have arranged a local walk over some of the beautiful downland areas around Hawkinge village.

Steve Walker from the project will be your guide over this easy 6 mile walk along the green route to Folkestone Downs.

Enjoy the downland landscape of an area of outstanding natural beauty and the views from the downs on this 3 hour walk.

Anyone wishing to take part should meet at Hawkinge village hall at 2.00pm on Sunday 26th August. It is requested that drivers park on the road and not in the village hall car park.(TR 215 399)

There is no charge although a donation would be appreciated.

For more information please ring White Cliffs Countryside Project 01304 241806 or 07885 599182.
