Veteran actor Sir Donald Sinden, who starred along with Jack Hawkins in the war film 'The Cruel Sea' will be paying tribute to Battle of Britain veterans at their annual commemoration of the Battle at the national memorial in Capel le Ferne.

Around 20 of the men who flew in the Battle of Britain in 1940 will be there to pay tribute to 'The Few'; a description coined by Sir Winston Churchill.

It begins at 12.45pm this Sunday (6 July) with music from the band of the Kent Wing of the Air Training Corps and, if the weather permits, will include a flypast by Spitfire and Hurricane aircraft belonging to the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Admission is free.
