Police have questioned a driver following a 43-vehicle pile up on the A20 in Kent in which a Folkestone man died.

The 34-year-old, from Hungary, was arrested on Monday (2 June) at the Kent and Canterbury Hospital on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Folkestone man Derek Bostock, 53, died at the scene of the crashes. Another 11 injured people were taken to hospital.

Dover District Council leader Paul Watkins, is demanding more safety measures for that stretch of the road and is also seeking a meeting with the transport minister.
