When Marion, aged just five, moved to India with her mother Agnes, after her parents separated and Robert and her other brother Brian were left behind in Folkestone, they probably thought they would never see each other again.

But Robert, who now lives in Bridgwater has tracked down his sister after more than 60 years without contact - leading to an emotional reunion. Robert Perryman, 81, was torn away from his sister, Marion Cooke, 67, as a result of their parents separating at the end of World War Two. Marion, who now lives in Weymouth, Dorset, and Robert, finally embraced each other after 62 years apart at an emotional meeting in a seafront hotel in Weymouth last Saturday (July 14).
