Local police are appealing for information following a series of attacks on the Lidl store in Haven Drive, Hawkinge, which resulted in a number of large windows at the front of the building being smashed.

Since early June, a total of six large windows have been damaged after bricks were thrown.

The first incident occurred around midnight on 7 June and the latest on 17 July between 11 and 11.30pm.

PC Trevor Moody said that the Mayfly public house would have been open at the time of some of the incidents and it is possible someome leaving the premises may have seen something suspicious. He would like to hear from anyone with information.

PC Moody can be contacted on 07980 770583
