A break in the recent gloomy weather gave The Churchill School in Hawkinge an extra boost to make a whopping £1,860 at their summer fair on Saturday (7 July).

The sun shone for the hundreds of visitors at the successful annual event which helps to fund many of the extras the school is unable to afford through normal funding.

Pupils at the go-ahead school benefit from 'treats' such as visits from theatre groups, and high tech equipment like interactive whiteboards and data projectors.
