Police believe a man missing since March 2007 may have been murdered.

David Redman, 22, was last seen walking towards Marine Parade, Dover, at 2.00am on 10 March.

Mr Redman, of London Road, in Dover, is described as white, about 5ft 6in tall, slim, and with collar-length fair hair. He was wearing a denim jacket, a black top with white flower motifs on the front, and blue jeans when he was last seen.

Police have urged anyone who was on the seafront near the Eastern Docks, in Dover, between Jubilee Way and Marine Parade during the early hours of 10 March to contact them.

A man and a woman have been arrested over Mr Redman's disappearance and are being questioned by police.

Det Ch Insp Jon Bumpus said "new information had come to light", but inquiries were at an early stage.

"For instance, people messing about or arguing or possibly leaving the area in a hurry. They may hold the vital clue to this investigation and we are anxious to hear from them," Det Ch Insp Bumpus said.
