Hawkinge Parish Council are continuing their battle to sell the Spitfire Leisuredrome after the planning application submitted to Shepway District Council was rejected by planners.

The parish council, who had applied for outline planning for residential development following the demolition of the Leisuredrome, have appealed against the decision.

A date has not yet been set for the appeal which will be conducted by an Inspector from the Planning Inspectorate.
