Tickets for the second Lydd Airshow are now available online from www.lyddairshow.co.uk – Visitors can expect an even better show than last year which attracted over 20,000 visitors across the weekend.

The show’s dedicated website will shortly be confirming the wide variety of spectacular air displays due to entertain the public on September 1 and 2 at London Ashford Airport (Lydd) on Romney Marsh, Kent.

World class flying displays will once again be on show, and amongst those expected to take part, include the RAF Falcons, the fantastic Blue Eagles and many more.

Air Marshall Clifford Spink, chairman of Lydd airport, will be taking to the air in a Spitfire and a Hurricane, and the crowds can look forward to a breath taking display by Team Guinot Wing-Walkers.

There will be a wide range of on-ground activities, including trade stands, military vehicles, static displays, food and beverage stands, children’s rides and musical entertainment.

Airshow organiser Lisa Duncan said: ‘After the huge success of last year’s event we are planning an even bigger and better display for visitors this year. It’s going to be an exciting line-up and we’ll be announcing the acts very soon so watch this space!’

Arena entertainment will be provided by both civilian and military exhibitors, which will also be announced on our website along with the spectacular line-up of aircraft.

Lisa Duncan added: ‘We’re keen to give visitors an even bigger variety of different ground exhibits than last year and I would urge any organisation or club which is interested in taking space to get in touch with us. This is the second airshow at Lydd and exhibition space is going fast but companies have still got time to make a little bit of history by joining us in September.’

Prices for tickets purchased in advance are:

Adults £8.50 (£11.50 on the day)
Children under 12 £4 (also £4 on the day)
Family of two adults and two children under 12 £20 (£25 on the day)

Part of the proceeds from ticket and programme sales will once again be donated to local charities – names will be announced shortly.
