Cyril loses seat on Parish Council

Cyril Trice, has been voted off Hawkinge Parish Council after polling just 387 votes in yesterday's Parish Council election.

Conservative, Jean James easily topped the poll with 900 votes and Independent new candidate Tony Hutt received 489 votes.
Existing councillor Joan Brisley polled the second highest number of votes with 546.
The result of the Hawkinge Parish Council election is as follows:-

I was sorry to read that Mr. Trice was no longer on the Parish Council as he tried very hard to involve the youth of the area in practical ways and I think he will be missed.
I hope that another councillor will take over the mantle of organising litter clean ups also.
