Mountain rescue on Romney Marsh

Power to homes in Lydd on Romney Marsh had to be cut off so engineers could rescue a cat stuck on a 10metre electricity pylon.

The cat had managed to climbed to the top but was unable to get down.

When he was spotted by a worried neighbour, engineers from EDF Energy were called out to help.

The power supply was cut off to homes in the area to make the pylon safe to climb and an engineer in mountaineering gear brought the inquisitive moggy down to safety.

The cat named Flash, luckily didn't live up to its name.
