Neighbourhood Watch

A public meeting is being arranged shortly for residents in the vicinity of The Meade in Hawkinge, to discuss the present problems of graffiti and anti-social behaviour in the area.

The meeting follows an outbreak of graffiti which appeared on fencing overnight on 8 May.

It is being investigated by local police and increased patrols have been set up in the area of Aerodrome Road and The Meade.

PC Trevor Moody is appealing for information from the public and is looking to trace the identities of  'The Aerodrome Boys' and 'Jester'.

Shepway Council's graffiti busting team have been busy cleaning up the area affected.

PC Trevor Moody can be contacted on 07980 770583.

To report a crime which has already occurred please ring the Central Crime Reporting Unit 01622 690690.
