The Dover family of soul singer Joss Stone have begged her to get out of the spotlight and come home, according to a report in the Daily Star.

They are worried the 19-year-old soul star, who lived and went to school in the town, could be cracking up under the strain of fame.

She was booed by fans after turning up an hour late at a recent gig and at The Brits earlier this year she was pilloried for speaking in a strained American accent.

Now her grandad, Kenneth Stoker, has urged her to quit the States and put her feet up at his bungalow in Dover.

He told the Daily Star: “My home is an open house for Joss. The family is here for her.

“I am over 80 and I have all her records. When I hear her on the wireless I am very proud. We just want her to be happy.”

Joss hit the big-time when she was just 15 and four years on is said to be worth around £10million.
