This is no way to conduct a campaign - keep it clean chaps

Have your say!

We are now in the run-up to the local elections, and I notice that the independent candidates in particular are really revving themselves up, slagging off just about everything and everyone who has ever had anything to do with serving on the council.

This is no way to conduct a campaign.

Could I put in a plea - could we have less gutter campaigning and a more responsible, grown up attitude towards other councillors and candidates.

I believe that most of them, of whatever political party, try to do their best.

Two of the independent candidates are or were councillors themselves for goodness sake, and should know better than to indulge themselves in this mindless nastiness.

Keep it clean chaps, and try some positive campaigning for a change!

Jean James
