Re: Not enough information from candidates

I would be more inclined to believe the candidates would not comment on the airport because of the “loss of face” from voters in the local election.

It would be a refreshing change for a politician to be ethical. I do think Michael has shot the Conservatives of Shepway in the foot with what I believe to be a classic case of “sitting on the fence”.

He has stated he is in favour of limited expansion but then said he wants a public enquiry. This is in no way a “dig” at Michael or the Conservative party, just this approach has lost the potential votes of the 2,204 who are against the expansion according to the referendum that was held.

People tend to believe that parties’ candidates are “tarred with the same brush”; I put it to the forum to decide Ethics or Survival instinct.
