We are Conservative Candidates for the three Shepway District Council seats of the North Downs East Ward. We have been reading the various views relating to the forthcoming elections and would comment as follows:

The three of us are standing as candidates for the first time. We all live in the North Downs East Ward and want to improve the quality of life, services and amenities for the entire Ward.

We do not see the point of getting involved in mud slinging and have been out on the streets introducing ourselves and listening to residents views. We are not making any rash promises but want to make sure that the views of residents are represented on the District Council.

We shall continue to canvass the district and apologise to those residents whom we may not get to see before the elections but the Ward is quite large and we all have jobs and our own families to consider.

We consider that the best way to improve the quality of life for our own families is through getting involved and working to improve it for all of us.

We believe that during the past two years the performance of the district Council has improved considerably and that only strong leadership by a majority Conservative Council will enable continued improvements.
