Nobody has 'stepped on my toes'

Have your say!

Dear Editor,

Re: Forced to watch such bungling ineptitude with our money

Well, I obviously struck a chord didn't I?

Nobody has 'stepped on my toes', since I am not standing for the District Elections.

I merely wanted to point out that it doesn't sit easily with me, and probably many other electors, when people who have been very much part of the local council and have now fallen out with their respective parties, suddenly pop up rubbishing everything which has happened over that very same period!

Mr Tearle was a very committed Conservative Councillor who failed to be re-elected as such at the last elections four years ago.

Since then he has actively been trying to get re-selected by them, and if he had been successful, would no doubt now be telling us all how marvellous the Conservatives are!

Likewise Mr Callahan has been, and still is, a Lib Dem Councillor, actively part of whatever Shepway has done for the past 4 years!

Anyway, may the best people win, and who these people are remains a matter of opinion!

I agree with Jean James comments.

How can one trust people who jump ship when things do not go their way. As Mr Callahan has been part of the present Council he should have voiced his opinions and fought his corner there, not slag off them now.

It is easy to say things and run with the crowd, but a lot harder to stand up a lone and speak ones mind.
