'Take extra care' warning following Folkestone letter bomb

A former Home Secretary, is warning the public to take extra care when opening their post in the wake of the Folkestone letter bomb which injured a man on Saturday (3 February).

Folkestone and Hythe MP Michael Howard, said in a statement: "I am very concerned about this device which I understand arrived on Saturday. I am sure that Kent Police will be cooperating with other forces to ensure that the perpetrator is brought swiftly to justice.

"In the meantime I urge my constituents to take care when opening their post."
