Dear Ed,

I fear for the lives of our fellow village parishioners and it only seems right that I should sound off now.

For several days I have passed the entrance to the new link road at the top of Spitfire Way. But something looks to be missing.

Tell me that I am wrong, but there does not appear to be any footpaths along either side. Is this right ?

Before I say anymore can you confirm this ? I fear it is another oversight of some pretty dim planners just like the planners who built Spitfire Way, also without a footpath or cycle path.

How many times have you nearly hit a pedestrian walking up there at night.
