Hawkinge children were treated to visit by Santa at a special Christmas party held at the Churchill School on Saturday (13 December).

The children aged between seven and 11 years old, and parents were entertained by a magician and each child received a small gift when Father Christmas made a guest appearance.

Kent County Council Community Warden for Hawkinge, Tanya Clark, has worked with the Hawkinge Partnership and the parish council to plan the event.

KCC Cabinet Member for Community Services Mike Hill said: "With the Christmas holidays approaching this is a fun way for children and their families to get together and celebrate the festive season. I am glad to see Kent's community wardens getting involved in their communities in this way"
