Police are appealing for information and witnesses about the theft of a dog from Hawkinge.

Tobi, a distinctive black and white Saluki dog was tied up with three other dogs (of different breeds) outside the Tesco shop in Canterbury Road, Hawkinge when he was stolen at some time between 9.45 pm and 10.15 pm on Monday 17 December.

Her owner is very concerned as Tobi is a rescue dog, gets very nervous around strangers and also suffers from a heart condition. He is likely to be very distressed by the ordeal.

Anyone with information about the theft of Tobi is asked to contact police on 01303 850055.

Alternatively call Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
