Will new councillors see illogicality and change budget?

Have your say!

Dear Editor,

Re: Hawkinge Parish council - Budget and Precept 2008/2009 and Hawkinge Parish Tax increases by 25%

With regard to your detail of the cost to the local taxpayers for the Hawkinge Parish Council's clerical duties, I see that for the budget planned, the cost of a clerk including pension and National Insurance plus the use of an office, which is used for just a few hours a week, totals £28,278.

That is without a number of other expensive costs required for clerical work.

Divide that by 52 weeks and it comes to £543.80 per week.

Perhaps the two new councillors will see the illogicality of it and change it, but I somehow doubt it.

Have a read it's interesting then grin and bear it, it's Christmas soon after all.
