The Channel Rotary Club from Folkestone is inviting you to take part in the only Santa Run in Kent on Sunday (2 December).

Starting in Folkestone town centre near the Bouverie Place shopping centre, hundreds of runners are expected to join this unique event, which raises money for your own favourite charities as well as a charity chosen by Channel Rotary.

This year Channel Rotary is supporting the Pilgrim’s Hospices in East Kent and the Institute of Cancer Research. The Pilgrims Hospices alone need over £7 million each year to do their invaluable work (that’s £20,000 every day).

Last year’s run had to be postponed for a week because of really wild weather. But it was still a great success, with over £10,000 being raised for over 30 local charities including several thousand pounds much needed funds for the Folkestone Samaritans.

All runners will be provided with a free Santa outfit to keep and everyone wears it on the day.

The aim is to have 1,000 Santas running along Folkestone seafront and raising lots of money for lots of charities.

Entry is just £10 for adults and £5 for children under 12.
