Fire safety fears shut Folkestone Academy - Update 5.00pm 29 November

Staff and Pupils at The new Folkestone Academy have been sent home today (29 November) due to problems with the fire safety mechanisms.

Pupils and parents should listen to BBC Radio Kent for the latest news although we understand, it is hoped to re-open the school tomorrow.

The Academy have announced the fire safety mechanism problem has been resolved and it will be re-opening tomorrow (30 November)
