Council workers donned their denims for national Jeans for Genes day on Friday (5 October) - and raised over £220 for children’s charities.

Dover District Council staff joined in the annual nationwide campaign to encourage people to make a difference to the lives of children with genetic disorders by wearing jeans and donating £2 to the charities.

The aim is to raise £3million and proceeds will help seven national charities, including Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) charity, the National Deaf Children’s Society and the Sickle Cell Society.
