Local girls (L to R) Sarah Palmer, Hollie Parker, former Miss Folkestone and Miss Cheriton and current Miss News of the World Siobhan Hustler signed up as extras for the movie

Local extras were treated to two days filming with one of the worlds top film actors on Monday and Tuesday (20/23 October).

Michael Caine was at Folkestone's Central railway station shooting his new film 'Anybody There'.

Directed by acclaimed Irish director John Crowley (”Intermission”), the film is, in the words of Caine, “about a little boy of ten who lives in an old people’s home owned by his mother and father.

"And he keeps making friends and of course every time he makes a friend, the people die. So he gets a camera and a tape recorder looking for their ghosts.”
