A lorry driver who failed to stop after a collision with a car in which a woman died is being hunted by police.

Two more people in the car were seriously injured.

Police believe a heavy goods vehicle collided with a red Ford Escort at the junction with Coldred Hill on the A2 at Lydden, near Dover just before 8.00pm yesterday (19 October).

They are trying to find drivers who may have witnessed the accident.

A police spokesman said: "The offending vehicle will have noticeable crash damage to either the front near-side or off-side."
