Fire investigators and Police who investigated a blaze at a furniture warehouse in Lydd have said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire.

Ninety firefighters from across the county fought the huge blaze in Dengemarsh Road, Lydd on Friday (5 January).

Officers initially suspected it was started deliberately but police said today (8 January) arson had been ruled out.

It will be several weeks before investigators report their findings.

All the warehouse staff were accounted for and there were no injuries.
