Hawkinge Hoodie, I don't believe it...

What a great sight at the weekend to see the Golden Arrow crossing the viaduct at Folkestone harbour. Apparently what with the development of the seafront area it sadly will never visit Folkestone again.

Well done to acting Partnership boss Jenny Hanna for the recent editions of the Hawkinge partnership newsletter. Gone is most of the 'Government speak' and plain English has mad a welcome appearance. It has improved greatly and the most recent edition had far less self congratulatory back slapping, was well laid out and packed with easily readable interesting stories and information.

The Government Inspectors who were recently snooping around the village checking up on the Partnership, should be giving Ms Hanna top marks for a job well done in Deirdre Ferguson's absence. 

Still on the subject of the Partnership and with Deirdre back at the helm, I've been told that at a recent meeting she claimed the Hawkinge Gazette was known by some people as the Hawkinge Hoodie 

Why I wonder? 

Perhaps Ms Ferguson would like to elaborate ...but make it quick... got to nip off and get myself another Hoodie, this one is so 2006!
