Hawkinge District Nurse Jacqui Buxton who will be joining a group of twenty adventurers in China to raise cash for a breast cancer charity is holding two fundraising events in Shepway.

Jacqui sets off on a nine-day expedition from 11 May 2007 for the Prima Great Wall of China Trek to raise money for the UK’s leading breast cancer charity, Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

There is a Quiz Night at Shorncliffe community centre at 7.30pm on Friday 12 January.

It costs just £24 for a table of 6. You are asked to bring your own food and drinks.

And on 23 February, it's a Black Tie Gala Evening at South Kent College for £10 per person.

All proceeds go to Breakthrough Breast Cancer
