'Legoland' developments are no legacy to leave our children

Have your say!

Dear Ed,

If the project to restore the 1890 Leas Lift step car carriage were to be halted, parts of Folkestone's history and heritage would be lost and could not be retrieved.

The step carriage looking for your support

The face of our town is already changing and being consumed by 'Legoland' type constructions such as the one in Bouverie Square, which in many peoples opinion is no legacy to leave our children.

May I urge all interested parties to look to the future by way of a contribution and be proud of being part of the preservation of this example of Folkestone's history.

£25,000 is needed for the project to restore the historic Leas Lift carriage.

All donations can be made to HSBC Bank sort code 40-21-15 Account number 21433784.

Thank you

Sincerely

Alex Batté
