Linda prepares for Everest charity trek

Hawkinge resident, Linda Perry is trekking to Everest Base Camp in October
to raise cash for the Stroke Association charity.
To help fund her trek she is holding a coffee morning and book
sale and is asking for donations of all kinds of books.
If you have any, hardback, paperback, fiction, non-fiction, or manuals please contact Linda and she will arrange to collect them.

Every year, over 130,000 people in the UK have a stroke. That’s one person every five minutes. Most people affected are over 65, but anyone can have a stroke, including children and even babies.
Stroke is the third most common cause of death in the UK. It is also the single most common cause of severe disability. More than 250,000 people live with disabilities caused by stroke.
The Stroke Association's main focus is to prevent stroke and to give support to stroke people and their families through information and community services.
