WE NEED YOUR WHEELIE BIN

The fortnightly garden waste collection is now the victim of its own success. The vehicles used to collect grass cuttings, prunings and trimmings are at full capacity and since July 2005 Shepway Council has not been able to issue any further bins.

Now the council is appealing to anyone who does not use their brown-topped garden waste bins to hand them in so that they can be re-distributed to people on its waiting list.

Any resident who would like to surrender their bin should call Fiona Fairhurst on 01303 853493 or Tina Lennox-Kay on 01303 853554.
