A VERY LONG SNAKE, BUT IT WAS MOVING

Dear Ed,

Re: I thought she was going to have to strip

I have just come back from Gatwick airport (1930hrs) having been the taxi service for a family member and their very young offspring.

Having parked-up, walked to check-in with them to deposit their baggage, and then stood and waited until they themselves had gone through their security for the last wave.  I've then ambled downstairs to go back to the car, called into a shop to purchase a drink, stopped to take a phone call and paid my parking fees - 27 minutes.

They checked-in online too.

I think everyone who travels to an airport at the moment will have a different experience.  There was the very long snake, but it was moving the whole time and there was an abundance of staff, just double checking that people in this snake were aware of what they could and couldn't take and offering help and advice.  It was very busy, but a calm atmosphere.
