BUSY WEEKEND FOR THE BIG MAN

Hawkinge Harry was busy last weekend when he was out and about on Saturday and Sunday flying the flag for the village.

On Saturday he joined three other East Kent Giants in a parade to open the Herne Bay Festival and on Sunday evening he joined the Folkestone Carnival parade.  

His next outing will be at the Hawkinge Fun day 16th September where where he will be joined by other Kent giants. On October 14th he will be at the "Make it Real" event in Canterbury .

My thanks to the team of helpers especially local teenager Oliver Nunn who helped on both days and to my wife Kim , Councillor Dave Callahan, and Tony Nunn for their able assistance. Also thanks to Shepway Building Contractors for supplying transportation and to Steve for opening up the Community centre for Harry's return Sunday evening.
