PRINCE SNAPS UP £1 TEE SHIRT FROM LOCAL TESCO...

Prince William has bought a bargain T-shirt from Tesco in Cheriton for just £1 when he popped into the supermarket with his army mates last week.

They bought charcoal and snacks for a barbeque, and Wills chose a plain red T-shirt from the clothes section, which was selling for half its normal £2 price tag.

Despite being in uniform, the Prince was soon recognised by staff in the shop and one of the young, female cashiers allegedly fainted on seeing him.

William had spent the day with other officer cadets training at a nearby coastal firing range.

An Army spokesman confirmed they had been taking part in a training exercise in Lydd, on Romney Marsh earlier in the day.

After paying for the items, Prince William and his friends dashed out of the store and were whisked away in a minibus.
