TOP COUNCIL BOSS SUSPENDED AFTER AUDIT

It has been reported in this week's edition of the Folkestone Herald that Andy Jarrett, Shepway District Council's regeneration officer has been suspended from duty following alleged 'procedural irregularities'
picked up by an auditor.

The paper says he was sent home at midday on Monday (17 July)

Shepway's Chief Executive Alistair Stewart confirmed in a statement that a senior officer of the council had been suspended.

The Folkestone Herald's story claims that the suspension stems from information that was allegedly not passed to members of the cabinet.
