TRANSATLANTIC FLIGHTS LAUNCHED FROM EAST KENT AIRPORT

The UK's largest independent tour operator Cosmos, and its sister airline, Monarch, are set to introduce direct transatlantic flights between Kent International Airport at Manston and Virginia next year.

The weekly charter flights will establish the first direct passenger link between the United States and Kent and will initially operate during the spring and summer.

Terry Williamson, Cosmos Holidays Managing Director, said: "As one of Kent's leading tour operators for nearly 50 years we are delighted to be associated with this venture. It is indeed an exciting development for both the Kent International area and us."
