So what's going on in local politics?

I hear Shepway could soon be seeing the birth of a new political party. It appears that a number of experienced former and serving councillors are looking to shake up the present hierarchy and form their own right of centre alliance. 

The new Wimpey estate off Aerodrome Road seems to have hit some snags. I was told that a number of houses could have been built outside the area allowed by the local plan.  Hard to see how Shepway planners failed to notice this. Ah well back to the drawing board.

So crime may be down in the village, but locals are becoming more vociferous over motorists speeding and using mobile phones. Take away one thing to worry about and within the blink of an eye another is there to take it's place.
