SHEPWAY TORIES NAME BIG THREE IN BATTLE TO SUCCEED HOWARD

At tonight’s Shepway Conservatives Executive meeting (30 June), three candidates have been selected from the shortlist to go forward to the final selection of the Folkestone and Hythe Prospective Conservative Candidate.

The successful candidates Harriet Baldwin, Laura Sandys and Damian Collins will be battling to succeed the former leader of the Conservative Party Michael Howard, who is standing down at the next General Election.

Kulveer Ranger was selected to be the reserve.

Chris Heaton-Smith, the MEP for the East Midlands who was in the original  six to be interviewed, has been selected for Daventry.
