First steps towards Hawkinge multi-sport complex

FIRST STEPS TOWARDS HAWKINGE MULTI-SPORT COMPLEX

The multi-sport complex on land behind Cricketers Close in Hawkinge took a step nearer this week when four different sets of plans were submitted to Hawkinge Parish Council.

Bringing together, a skate park, BMX track and a youth shelter, the blueprints will be put before youngsters at the Hawkinge Youth Forum and put out to consultation when all villagers will be able to comment on the proposals.

Once the consultation procedure is complete, the Parish Council are expected to make a decision, after taking into account the views of the villagers, at their meeting on 13 September 2006.
