PLANS TO DEMOLISH THE SPITFIRE LEISUREDROME

Dear Ed,

On the subject of the planning application to demolish the Spitfire Leisuredrome. It seems ludicrous that such a valuable asset that is so desperately needed is to be demolished.

As a Hawkinge resident with children I feel strongly that this Parish Council is letting us all down by electing to sell our facilities. This remnant of the history of Hawkinge was left by the RAF for the people of Hawkinge.

It is with even more amazement that this decision has been taken when an organisation is ready willing and able and has access to funds to turn it around and offer it to the community as a thriving place for our youth.

If you feel part of the solution to vandalism in our parish is due to young people having nowhere to go nothing to do then please whilst you've got the chance object to planning application YO/06/0497/SH.
