OBJECT TO THE SPITFIRE LEISUREDROME PLANS

Dear Ed,

As a resident of Hawkinge I am dismayed to hear that our Parish Council has elected to sell a valuable asset such as the leisuredrome. In favour of by comparison to the rest of Hawkinge a very small housing plot.

This facility was left to the people of Hawkinge when the RAF left the village. It is not for the Parish Council to squander.

There is an organisation ready willing and able to convert this building to a usable hall for sporting and leisure facilities. This organisation is currently struggling to provide facilities to our young because of a lack of venue. The parish Council representing people of Hawkinge continues to ignore this organisation despite continuous correspondence.

The o­nly way left to save our asset is to object to planning application Y06/0497/SH at the Planning office Civic centre Folkestone.which as a resident of Hawkinge you have the right to do.
