TIMING IS NOTHING SHORT OF INFLAMMATORY AND INSULTING

Dear Ed,

How reassuring it is to know that the Government can find funds to build a new Immigration Centre at Shearway in Folkestone, yet can turn round and close/amalgamate local Schools for probably a fraction of the cost.

The timing of this announcement is nothing short of inflammatory and insulting.

As a parent of a child at Selsted School how do I explain that there is money available for this yet for the sake of a few thousand pounds the KCC wants to shut her School.

A SEEDA (South East England Development Agency) spokesman stated that this is major news for Folkestone, NO, not the proposed closure of a local Church School but the news about the new Immigration Centre.

Its all about priorities and getting them in order.
